Signs of the End of the Age

Matthew 24

When the disciples gathered around Jesus privately and asked him to tell them what will be the sign of His coming and of the end of the age, Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

"Because of the the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."

Matthew 26

Jesus asked the same disciples at the garden of Gethsemane: "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.

After travailing in prayer, He returned to them the third time and found them sleeping, he asked them: "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners."

Matthew 25

When the Son of Man comes again in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.'

Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'

Revelation 22

Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
